The Foyle Civic Trust is a registered charity based in the City of Derry whose remit is to promote the protection and preservation of our historic built heritage and promote high quality standards of planning and architecture throughout the north west.
Foyle Civic Trust has recently secured funding from the National Heritage Lottery Fund for Phase 1 of its Built Heritage Pilot project and is now looking to appoint the following person for an 18 month period:
1. Architect – with experience in the Conservation of buildings and knowledge of best practice in heritage conservation to act as Project officer.
The successful applicant will report to the Chair and executive Committee of the Foyle Civic Trust and will manage the project on its behalf.
Criteria for Shortlisting
Essential: a third level qualification in architecture/architectural conservation.
The successful person will be an experienced architect/conservation architect with a relevant 3rd level qualification coupled with at least 7 years relevant experience working with heritage buildings , and project management of similar projects with excellent self motivation and interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people at all levels.
Desirable:
It is desirable that the successful candidate will:
– Be a registered architect ( ARB/RIAI/RIBA)
– have CAD skills and be proficient on Autocad and/or Revit
This is a full time post for a period of 18 months with potential for extending this period . The job will be office based in the Foyle Civic Trust offices but flexible working arrangements may be considered.
Salary : £38,000.00 per annum
